Hello fine Popkemembers and guests!

I recently started making Popkes again and also tried something with filming it. I can say I'm proud on my first attempt, since I'm not a professional moviemaker and had to figure out the whole thing myself. But I wanted to share it with you people, in case you were wondering how I make the Popkes.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGKM9a… That is the link on my youtubechannel, which is kinda empty now, but I plan on making more videos, so not to worry ;)

Also feel free to give the Popke a like on my Popkes page: www.facebook.com/popkesvanjelt…

I try to get more likes now I have started working on the Popkes again more frequently. Before I lost my job (yes I am still kinda angry / sad about that) I didn't work so much on them, but I have started creating Popkes again because my creativity never stops and for that I am grateful, truly I am.

Well I hope to see you all soon,

Keep uploading your crafty creations here :) :hug:

Cheers!

Jeltje
Hello dearly beloved Popkesfollowers and contributors!

I want to thank you all for your input in this group, I know my input hasn't been to well. I barely have time to work on my hobbies with school so I have made only a few Popkes this year. None the less I will make more of them in 2014.

I wish everyone a good new year, lots of creativity and blessings in life for 2014!
If you wish to cheer with me and have a special wish for somebody of for the whole group, be sure to post them here in the comments.

Thanks for all your inspiring creations in 2013! I feel proud of having such a strong growing and active group! :clap: :woohoo:
Ciao ciao! :iconladyrafira: Jel
Hello fine and creative members of our humble Popkes family!
I know it has been a while for me to update this journalsection but I have been through some stuff that has prevented me from putting time in the Popkes group. I am back now and I felt like updating this journalpage again with a brand new journal.

:rose: I would like to begin with welcoming all those who have joined us in the past few months:

:iconnerdyknitterdesigns::iconlovebiser::icondragonsorciere::iconambroshyia:
:iconjeibeas::icons-t-a-r-gazer::iconlghost::iconsky-griffin:
:icon1337m4574::iconcountry-wolf-girl::iconsuky1313:::icondog-lover81:
:iconkira79::iconkhahelette::iconikenojo::iconmeduza-toys:

Thanks for everyone who has joined! I see you come from all around the world, U.S. Europe, South-America, Asia... really wow!
I wish you all a happy stay with us and hopefully we will be able to inspire each other :aww:

:rose: Second I was wondering what is your best creation? Which one of your creations is one that you're really proud of and would you like to share with all of us? I am setting up a folder so you can upload your best creation in there. I would like to hear the story behind it so maybe you can tell us :) For me I am proud of my Madhatter Popke of the movie Alice in Wonderland. I had never made such a large Popke with so many details....

The Madhatter Popke Pose 3 by LadyRafira

I made it since I loved this character a lot, Johnny Depp plays him extremly well and I loved his colourful detailed costume.
I had fun making this Popke even though sometimes I grew tired because even the socks had details! @.@!
It now sits on my bookshelf next to the actionfigure of the Madhatter and I might want to make more Alice in Wonderland Popkes later on. I am currently working on making more of the tvshow Legend of the Seeker which is based on my favourite bookserie "Sword of Truth" by Terry Goodkind.

So how are you spending your summer holidays, or if its not summer but winter, please tell us how you spend your days.

:rose: For the new members, I'd like to ask you to upload a photo of yourself in our folder "Meet the Crafters" it's nice to see who we are dealing with. And get to know each other too.

:rose: I know it has been a while but how about we think of another contest? Is there anyone with ideas? Who would like to be the judge and help us with selecting the best creations? Holding up a contest requires input from everyone not just me, so I am willing to put up a brand new contest with the help of my lovely Popke members :)

That will be all for now :)
Love from the Popkefamily!

Yes it has been a while and yes its time we welcome our newest members into the Popkesfamily!
I would like to give a warm welcome to our newest members that help make the group grow, please welcome:

Hopefully you will all stay with us and uploads all of your creative outburts for we love to see them :)
I will keep updating the membernumbers by welcoming each member as best as I can. Otherwise those 305 members and 321 watchers would just be mere numbers, and in this group I want everyone to be active and feel welcome.
Which is also why we are who we are, this group is open to almost every yarn / felt creature as long as its unique!

Lovely creations! I wish I was good at crochet / knitting but unfortanitly I'm not!
So I will just stick with making Popkes, the last one was Chun Li in her classic blue outfit.
I'm not sure who is up next, but you will be the first ones to see it ;)

:rose: Tomorrow in the Netherlands its Queensday, it will be the last one since our beloved queen Beatrix will be handig over the crown to her son the Prince of Orange known as Willem-Alexander. I am curious to see this historical event, since it will be a once in a lifetime experience :) The picture here belows shows both the Queen and her son, Queen Beatrix has served our country for 33 years, and that makes her our longest reigning queen. Tomorrow she will give the crown to her son Willem-Alexander, or as some of my fellow historystudents point out Willem IV. Well I wish him the best and hope he does a good job ;)

Hello dear members! I'd like to introduce you all to our latest member who happened to be a very awesome stringdollmaker!
:iconflyingstringsnthings:

Be sure to check out her profile for she makes such lovely creations!

Welcome all in our humble, creative and artistic family of Popkes!
I didn't have the time in January to write a welcoming journal so I make up for that now.
I like to keep our tradition of welcoming new members in honour which is why I make a notice of it.
After all members is what a group needs to grow :woohoo: and we love input of our members, so if you have a brilliant idea, then feel free and please share it with us!
